Basic socks

¡Estrenados hoy!
¡LISTO!

Worn by first time today! They are made with that yarn I got from Germany so these simple socks are very special for me. Thanks to this pattern and Piruleta's invaluable help I learnt to knit toe-up socks. I finished them not long ago because once again they remained forgotten for months. They are super warm!
5. New projects! Several socks, pattern unchosen yet. Toe-up socks, pretty please. DONE!

Holden "Summer" Shawlette

Another Holden shawl and this one makes number two. It was a present made with a soft and warm yarn, very nice to knit with and wear. It was knitted in the summer in my secret spot at the evenings when sometimes the cool breeze blew and knitting felt comfortable enough. I had to rush because the birthday was in September!

This is my secret spot...

¡Me faltan manos!

I am not knitting a third one because I am busy... yet. Another friend who saw it just blocked fell in love with it and requested one so sooner or later I will be knitting this pattern again. I don't have enough hands!

...and there is plenty of sunlight there!

Yarn: one skein of Indiecita 100% merino Malabrigo Yarn Sock .
Needles: 5.00 mm (US 8).
Size: 150 x 65 cm (roughly 59"x 25.5")
Pattern: Holden Shawlette by Mindy Wilkes. Free PDF with chart (Ravelry link).
Modifications: Started lace pattern at 141 sts (2 repetitions instead of 3) as suggested by Susi and Eva. After row 38 started knitting again from row 23 to 38 repeating [ ] pattern as many times as needed. In the end I had the same stitches pattern stated but lace part was bigger and St st smaller.

Gorgeous, isn't it?

* Thank you so much Libby for giving me permission to post about your b-gift. LYLAS!

Vintage tablecloth

As Tea requested, here is a better look of the tablecloth. Very 70s looking, mom bought the fabric, cut and sewed tablecloth and six napkins and made a simple shell crochet edging. Hope you enjoy it!

¡Ah! El verano qué lejos queda... por suerte. ;-)

On that day's menu, cream of melon soup with jamon and stuffed tomatoes. Oh, summer! Looks like it happened a long time ago... better that way. ;-)
